Got an email today and it said sins had hit the 500k milestone after 7 months. If this is true then 100 million grats to Ironcald and Stardock.
More like 50-150 people. When was the last time you saw 300 people online or even 200 for that matter?
Most people prefer to play single-player only.
Or LAN with buddies
Accounting 101
Revenue does not equal income. Revenue was around $25MM, but profits will be less than that.
That seems to be true, but it's kinda sad.
This is true, I enjoy a good, long single player sins game.
Anyway, way to go ironclad and stardock! It's great that the first release from ironclad sold so well, after all, it's a great game. I'm hoping to see more from them.
Even in the more multiplayer friendly games where you don't need a couple hours to finish a game, the online crowd is a very small fraction of the total customer base. Starcraft is a shining example of hour prolific the multiplayer crowd can be, and even there it was never anywhere near the the sales numbers.
